5 Reasons the Abominable Snowman Interactive Story Skill is Awesome
#1. You get to decide what comes next — and that’s super cool
Listen to this classic book as an active participant where you are in charge of what happens at decision points. For example, the first decision point I reached in The Abominable Snowman was “do you search below in the valley or search above basecamp?” I decided to search above basecamp, and the story continued from there. There are 28 endings, which means lots of opportunities to experiment with different choices.
#2. To get started (it’s free!), say “Alexa, open the Abominable Snowman”
Alexa will keep track of where you left off in the story and how many endings you’ve discovered. You can also say “go back” if you want to change the choice you made in the previous scene or “start over” if you want to go back to the beginning of the story.
#3. It’s great with kids
What I like best about interactive stories is that they take the familiar experience of reading a book and make it more multi-dimensional by allowing you to be an active participant via Alexa. Kids will love it!
#4. Production value is high
There are professional voice narrators, cool sound effects, and making your choices at decision points is seamless.
#5. You can be an active participant in other interactive stories too
Journey Under the Sea, Space and Beyond and more.
