Everyone loves having smart lights!

Anyone who’s used them knows how handy smart bulbs are. But a lot of Alexa users haven’t tried them yet!

There are loads of options out there from different brands and price ranges. Here are things to consider when you’re looking at buying and gifting.

Shades of White
Smart bulbs are ideal changing from cool (more blue) white light in the morning to energize you out of bed to a warm (more yellowy) white in the evening to help you relax into sleep.

Vivid Color
Yes, they’re pricier than white bulbs, but for good reason.  The latest ones offer hues all across the color prism, and can be programmed to change for occasion, provide mood light, rev up a party, match your favorite sports team—whatever! 

Things to Note
Some bulbs have very specific recommendations about how they’re used—for instance, some will only work with a specific bridge or hub, and some can’t be used in a closed light fixture (like a globe light) or on a dimmer switch. Keep that in mind when you’re choosing.
