I just read the Voicebrew article on displaying your calendar on an Echo Show – seems easy enough. My wife and I both have our own Echo Shows in our own home offices and we both have Outlook Calendars for work and Google Calendars for personal, plus we each have our own Amazon accounts too. (Trust me – we do actually share other things!)
I figured I’d ask here. Can each of us display our own multiple calendars on our own Echo Shows?
Any guidance is appreciated.
Rob
Thanks for the question. Yes, you can set things up the way you’re looking to, however, there are some limits to sharing.
To get things going, follow these steps:
For a list of supported calendar providers, check the Alexa app.
- Open the Alexa app
.
- Open More
and select Settings.
- Select Calendar & Email.
- Select your account provider, and then select Connect Account.
- Follow the on-screen instructions. Repeat these steps for each calendar you want to link.
The instructions from Amazon do say that Calendars will no longer be shared across adults in your Amazon Household. To hear events from calendars on other Amazon accounts, you will have to ask Alexa to switch accounts, or use the Alexa app to link them to other accounts in your Amazon Household.
My wife and I get around this limitation by sharing our Google Calendars with each other, then Alexa will share those events.
Hope that gets you on your way!
