Right now I say “call Joseph” and he answers on his cell phone.
What do we have to do so it opens on his show when I say “call Joseph”?
This is a good question – it’s a bit confusing to video call someone until you get comfortable with the process.
To start with, does your friend have an Echo Show, and is he near the device? If he’s out, he won’t be able to answer on his Show so his only option will be to answer on his phone.
To make a video call, just say, “Alexa, video call Joseph.” Alexa might ask you to confirm the contact information of the person you’re trying to reach before initiating the call.
If Joseph is home and sees that his phone and his Echo Show are both going off, he should only only answer on the Echo Show.
That should be all you need to get going!
