I purchased my Fortress security system and loved its interaction with Alexa. But 2 weeks ago I tried to use it with Alexa and the response is that the my Fortress skill is no longer available.
However, this product is still being sold by Amazon and it still advertises the Alexa compatibility. As a disabled person, not having to run through the house to disarm the security system was the whole reason why I purchased this system.
Do you know any solution?
I reached out to Fortress to ask them about their Alexa skill.
It’s currently being worked on because there was a technical issue with it, but the representative I spoke with expected it to be back on the Amazon Skills store within the next several weeks, perhaps a month. The representative indicated that you probably won’t need to do anything when it comes back online, but I would periodically search the Skills store yourself to confirm.
