Hi,
Do you think Alexa will ever allow us to customize her wake-up name beyond Echo, Alexa, and Computer?
I’d love to name ours Hal or something like that.

Hi Dan,
As of today, you can customize your wake word by enabling the Samuel L. Jackson interface – this allows you to say “Hey, Samuel” to activate your Echo device.
This is interesting because it indicates that Amazon does have the ability to add wake words at anytime, but they have not indicated anything with respect to completely customizable wake words (yet!).
Perhaps Amazon will add this feature in the future!
