I have an account with Amazon Unlimited Music but the PC version is not matching that account to me.
Further, I can play music but I cannot tell Alexa which group to play on. Rather, she is playing on all Echo devices in the house (\”Everywhere\”). I find no help features. Ultimately, I have quite asking for music from Alexa via my PC.
Candidly, I find no other purpose for Alexa on my PC. I am about to uninstall the program.
Hi DigDugDig,
Thank you for your message! I’m Daniel, I work with Katherine to help answer questions in the VoiceBrew community.
The Windows 10 app for Alexa is definitely not as fully featured as the mobile app, however, it does give you access to the Alexa ecosystem. For instance, it supports hands-free interaction with Alexa if you enable it, giving you another device to access your lights and plugs, make calls to other Echo devices, and more.
To get your Amazon Unlimited Music working properly, ensure you’re logged into the Alexa app with the same username/password that you used to register your Amazon Unlimited Music service. Additionally, you may need the Amazon Music app installed on your PC. I say this because I am a Spotify user, and when I asked Alexa to play a specific song on my PC, I got a response that I needed to install the Spotify app first.
Hopefully the Amazon team adds some more features to the Alexa app in the near future, so we can access more settings and functionality from our Windows devices!
