All of a sudden Alexa has forgotten my “living room” although it is clearly listed in the room section. Simultaneously she has forgotten my Roku TV although it was never listed as a device. It was just there from the time I plugged it in as a voice controlled thing. The Roku used to turn on when I asked Alexa to “turn on living room”.
Also why does Alexa.not realize the “lights off” is the sane as “lights out”? That’s only a minor annoyance though.

Thank you for your question.
My first thought is that perhaps the living room devices were set up under a different Amazon household account. If you have multiple people in your house, ask \”Alexa, who am I?\” and then say \”Alexa change account to ____\” if she does not respond with your name.
Additionally, the Roku may have turned on automatically because it was powered on through the television – that would explain why it would work if not listed as a device in your Alexa app.
To get this all working again, I would recommend deleting all devices from your Alexa app and going through the setup again. It\’s quite a pain to do, but that should hopefully get you back up and running without delay.
