2 Essential Tips to Upgrade Your Alexa Music Experience with the Echo Show:
#1. Channel your inner rock star with karaoke-style song lyrics displayed on the screen
Never be caught singing “Starbucks lovers” again. When you listen to songs via Amazon Music, the Echo Show will display the lyrics in true karaoke sing-a-long fashion. It will even highlight in blue the lyric it’s currently playing.
Pro Tip: If you have Prime, you’ll get access to 2 million songs on Amazon Music for free. If you don’t have Prime, you can still listen to Amazon Music playlists and stations for free, but you’ll have to listen to a few ads as well.
#2. Just say “Alexa, play Blank Space” to start listening — and singing!
It’s so easy to play the song of your choice. Alexa will default to Amazon Music (unless you’ve set another music service like Spotify as your default) and automatically display the lyrics as the song plays. So all you have to do is grab a wooden spoon if you need an impromptu microphone 🙂
Pro Tip #1: You’ll only see lyrics if you’re listening through Amazon Music, but if you’re listening through another service like Spotify or Pandora, you’ll still see the name of the song and artist.
Pro Tip #2: If you already linked another music provider as the default but want to see the lyrics, just say “Alexa play (insert name of the song) on Amazon Music.”
Bonus Tip: Did you know Alexa can sing? Listen to Alexa’s duet with Ed Sheeran by simply saying, “Alexa, sing a duet with Ed Sheeran.” You’ll hear Alexa and Ed trade lines from his hit song “I Don’t Care.” Who knew that robotic voice could carry a tune?
