You Can Now Gradually Brighten or Dim Lights in an Alexa Routine
This new feature makes it much easier to set up the smart light routines you want
Want to wake up gradually with your bedroom lights brightening over the 15 minutes leading up to your wake-up time? Or dim lights slowly starting 30 minutes prior to bedtime? Until the recent roll-out of this awesome new feature*, if you wanted to simulate lights gradually brightening or dimming in an Alexa routine, you had to use multiple “Wait” routine actions between multiple smart light routine actions (I had routines with 6 different actions to achieve this!). You can now fold all of these actions into a single one and gradually brighten or dim your smart lights easily over a chosen time period. All you have to do when you select smart light control in an Alexa routine is set a time ramp (from 5 minutes to 1 hour) for the light to brighten (or dim) to your desired level.
