This game is a lot of fun!
My family loves to break out board games at the holidays. But this year, we might just opt to play a voice assistant game instead. And I think I found the perfect one: Family Duel!
It’s just like the old game show, Family Feud, where you try to guess what answers were most popular for different questions, among the 100 people surveyed. (Think questions like, “What are some things beginning with S you would find in a house?”)
To start it, just say, “Hey Google, talk to Family Duel.” You can choose to play single player or multiplayer. If you play multiplayer, you divide into two teams—red or blue. And you can have teams as large as you like, which makes it a great game for Thanksgiving, when you can have large multigenerational teams.
When you play on the Google Nest display, it has fun graphics like the strikeout graphics from the game show—and three strikes, and the other team gets a chance to steal all of your points.
I think this’ll definitely be a great post-turkey entertainment for my family.
Pro Tip: You might want to have a designated guesser for each team, who stands near the display. Sometimes Assistant doesn’t hear you quite correctly if you’re farther away.
