I’ve found my favorite new window shopping partner 🙂
I recently found my parents’ old record collection up in their attic, and so I started thinking the other day that maybe I should consider getting a turntable.
And of course I had to see what Google Assistant would turn up!
When I tried saying “Hey Google, find me turntables” to my Nest Hub, Assistant showed me popular turntables from Sony, Victrola, Audio-Technica and others — and also from a range of sources including Walmart, Target, Kohl’s, eBay, and Home Depot.
I could tap on each option to see reviews, photos, pricing and where it’s sold.
Plus, Google makes the check-out process super easy. Once you’re ready to buy, just tap “Add to cart.” You’ll get a push notification from your Google Home app where you can check out your cart and confirm that Google has the right delivery and payment details (if you’re a Google user, you don’t have to fill anything in — it’s based on the info associated with your google account).
Pro TipÂ
You can voice shop in the Google Assistant app, but when you find a product you like you’ll just be taken to the seller’s website where you go through the full checkout process (it’s not much of a time saver). Voice shopping with your Nest Hub is a much more streamlined experience!
