Your Assistant can understand Harry Potter spells

Voice assistants are pretty magical on their own—you kind of feel like Harry Potter when you can start music playing or turn things on and off with just the right words. 

But did you know that you can actually use Harry Potter spells with your Google Assistant? 

Just say, “Hey Google, lumos” (which you’ll recall is the spell to light up a  wand in Harry Potter), and your Assistant will turn on your lights. Just like magic!

And if you say, “Hey Google, nox,” your lights will turn off!

Pro Tip: Fortunately, using the Harry Potter death spell, “Avada Kedavra” doesn’t kill off someone. No spoilers here, but if you try it on your Google Assistant, you get a fun response!
