Just ask Google Assistant to get you where you’re going

Pull up Assistant on your phone and say “Hey Google, give me driving directions to…” and insert your destination.

You can ask for directions to any local spot (restaurant, gas station, school, you name it), street address or saved address (if you have addresses for home or work saved in your Google account).

Assistant will show you a handy snapshot of the trip from your current location to the requested destination, including a map, how long it’ll take to get there and the best route given traffic.

If you want help navigating during your drive, tap the blue “Driving Directions” text to pull them up in Google Maps, and then tap “Start,” and you’ll be on your way!

Pro Tip

After you tap “Start” you’ll notice a rainbow microphone in the upper right corner of the screen. Tap it to access Google Assistant to send an email, get an update on your calendar, news, whatever!
