You can ask Google Assistant anything!
Asking Assistant is the easiest way to search for info… it’s just like typing something into Google’s search engine (except faster!).
Ask Assistant anything, and you’ll get an answer based on Google’s top search result for your question (the featured snippet that you’d see if you were typing the question into Google on a browser).
Here are some questions I asked Assistant today…
- “Hey Google, how much does Tom Brady make playing for the Buccaneers?” (I was curious!)
- “Hey Google, how many calories are in a date?” (I’ve been eating a lot lately, so figured I should check!)
- “Hey Google, search for (insert the town or city you live in) news” to get the latest on what’s happening in your area
- “Hey Google, why doesn’t Anne Hathaway want to be called Anne?” (Apparently this is a thing!)
Remember: If you don’t already have access to Assistant, download the free Assistant app right now!
(Long-ish) Pro Tip
If you’re like me and a million little questions (about historical facts, whether something is actually healthy or not, you name it) come up during family meals, it’s really nice to be able to just say “Hey Google” and then your question to your Nest smart speaker — without having to pull out your phone (and inevitably fall into the rabbit hole of notifications). If you don’t already have one of Google’s Nest speakers, check out the Nest Mini, currently just $25.
