Ask Google Assistant when you want to know what’s up next!
I love using Google Assistant on my Nest smart display to check my calendar. It’s especially handy late at night when I want a quick update on tomorrow morning’s meetings without falling into the black hole of notifications on my phone 🙂
All I have to say is: “Hey Google, what’s on my calendar?”
Here are a few more helpful “Hey Google” calendar commands:
- “Schedule a meeting for 3pm tomorrow”
- “When is my next meeting?”
- “What’s on my agenda today?” (or tomorrow… or this weekend!)
- “List all of my meetings on March 30” (or any future date!)
Pro Tip #1Â
No set-up is necessary! The Google calendar associated with the Google account you used when you first logged into Google Assistant (or set up your Nest speaker)Â will be the default calendar that Google Assistant will pull from (and add events to).
Pro Tip #2
You can’t currently invite people to, set location for, delete or modify calendar entries with Google Assistant (you’ll have to go into the Google Calendar app or open it up on your computer for that).
Want to access Google Assistant hands-free? Check out the Nest Mini smart speaker. And remember: you can always access Google Assistant for free on your Android phone or via the the free Assistant iPhone app!
