Put your Assistant on the case

This time of year, everyone’s trying to make some improvements in their life. I’m trying to make sure I have better work-life balance. And my Assistant can definitely help me out!
Google Assistant can set up all-day Routines that can pop in to remind you to take a moment to breathe. (I set mine up to tell me when to take breaks, and to start wrapping up my day about a half-hour before quitting time.)
If you have resolutions where you might need reminders throughout the day, this is super easy to set up:
- Open the Google Home app and tap “Routines”
- Tap the plus sign on the bottom right of the screen
- Tap “Add starter” then tap “Time” and choose when you want it to start, and how many days you want it to happen (You also need to come up with a Voice starter, like “Work life balance”)
- Choose how you’ll start off your day (I picked an energetic instrumental to keep me focused
- Choose “Delay start”
- Choose another activity (I asked my Assistant to tell me to take a break two hours later)
- Continue to add new activities and delays as you see fit throughout the day
- Tap “Save” when you’re done
