Nest doorbells and cameras can keep you up to date

Now that we’re all going out a bit more, it’s harder to keep tabs on what’s going on at home. 

But smart doorbells and cameras can keep tabs on what’s going on while you’re away. 

Google recently introduced Nest Aware, which gives you options for seeing what’s happening inside and outside your home. Some of the cool features:

• Alerts for sounds like glass breaking or fire alarms
• “Familiar faces” so you can teach your Nest who belongs—and your Nest can let you know when your kids arrive home with a quick notification
• E911 coverage—so if you see a fire or a break-in in progress, you can get connected to your local 911 dispatcher to send someone there

Plans start at $6/month, which gives you access to videos when your cameras or doorbell detect motion, or a plus version which offers 24/7 monitoring with video that’s preserved for up to 10 days.
