Your Assistant can help you reach them
Sometimes, you need to reach someone at home—and they’re not picking up the phone. There’s a way you can still reach out to them, thanks to your Assistant’s Broadcast feature.
Just say, “Hey Google, tell my family I’m stuck in traffic” (or whatever else you need to say to them).
Google Assistant will make your announcement not only through your Nest hubs and displays, but also to your family member’s phones as a text message (with a little speaker icon they can tap to hear your message).
Pro Tip: You’ll need to have your family members in your Google Assistant family group so that they can get your messages.
You can invite them in the Google Assistant app:
- Tap the circle with your image or initial on the top right corner
- Scroll down and tap “Your people”
- Tap “Add person,” and choose the appropriate person from your contacts.
- Repeat for each family member.
