Here’s why you’ll want to enable ultrasound sensing
Have you ever asked your Assistant how much time is left on your pasta timer from across the kitchen and then ended up frustrated because you couldn’t see or hear the answer? Yeah, we’ve all been there.
But with the ultrasound sensing feature, Google can sense how far you are from the screen, and adjust the volume and display so you can see and hear better.
It’ll make the timer, commute information and weather bigger if you’re far away, and if you’re close by and playing media, it’ll automatically put the control panel up.
I always enjoy seeing the different ways Assistant surprises me with its smarts 🙂
To set it up:
- Open the Google Home app
- Tap your device
- Tap the gear icon on the upper right
- Tap “Recognition & Sharing”
- Tap “Learn More” under “Ultrasound Sensing Features”
