Get Assistant to remind someone else to take out the garbage 🙂
In my household, my husband takes out the garbage every night — except on the nights when he forgets. (And we wake up to a smelly kitchen the next day!)
I hate the idea of nagging him every night “did you remember to take out the garbage?”
But I LOVE the idea of Google Assistant checking in with him just to be sure he didn’t forget.
To assign a reminder, just say “Hey Google, remind (insert the household member’s name) to take out the garbage every night at 9pm” (update with the task of your choice!).
In this example, every night at 9pm the person would receive a push notification on their smartphone via the Assistant app.
Set-Up Tip: In order to assign a reminder to someone, that person will need to be either:
- In your Google family group (tap here to set one up — it takes 2 minutes!) or
- Signed into the same Nest smart speaker or smart display as you
Remember: If you don’t already have access to Google Assistant, download the free Assistant app right now!
