All you have to do is set up Continued Conversation

If you don’t want to say “Hey Google” before every question, set up Continued Conversation.

Google will listen for a short time after answering the first question in case you have a follow up.

Here’s how to set it up:

1. Open the Assistant app
2. Tap the circle in the upper right corner with your image or initial
3. Scroll down to tap “Continued Conversation”
4. Toggle it on

Pro Tip

Continued Conversation doesn’t work when you’re talking to Google Assistant in the Assistant app—you can only use it on your Google Nest smart speakers and displays.
