Just say “Alexa, open Headspace” to try a quick guided meditation
If you’ve never meditated before, a guided session via Headspace’s meditation skill is the perfect way to dip your toe in the water.
We’re all under increased stress these days, so it’s more important than ever to take time to decompress — don’t forget that your mental health and stress level play a key role in keeping you physically healthy.
Alexa makes meditation easy to try for free. All you need is 15 minutes and a quiet place to sit.
- Say, “Alexa, open Headspace.”
- If it’s the first time you’re opening the Headspace skill, Alexa will give you the option to connect with an existing account or create a new account. If you don’t have (or don’t want to create) an account, you can continue without one.
- Headspace will then come on, and their mellifluous meditation guide will lead you through a short but impactful session.
The whole thing takes 15 minutes, and it always makes me feel happier and refreshed. (I meditate every morning before I start my day.)
