Just say, “Alexa, add milk to my Whole Foods (or Amazon Fresh) cart”
Imagine if grocery shopping were just calling out items you need — and then they would magically arrive at your front door. With Alexa, it can be!
All you have to do is say, “Alexa, add bananas to my Whole Foods (or Amazon Fresh) cart.” And then she will!
She’ll prompt you for “what else” you need, so you can keep adding items. When you’re done, say “nothing,” and she’ll remind you to head to your Amazon app to review your cart and check out.
So next time you’re rifling through your fridge and wandering around the kitchen trying to figure out what you need, you can just call each item out as you realize you’re going to need more of it! I got my shopping done yesterday in less than 10 minutes 🙂
4 tips to grocery shop with Alexa like a pro
#1. Alexa will guess what you’d like based on previous purchases. So when I asked for “milk,” she put in gallon of organic 2 percent that I’d purchased before.
#2. If you’re ordering something you never ordered before, she’ll put her best guess in the cart for you to review before you purchase, based on other customers’ orders. (You’ll see a picture of it if you use an Echo Show.)
#3. To do your final checkout, you need to use the Amazon app or website.Once you enter the app, you can click thumbs up or down for each item she added and make any changes in quantity or pick a different type—I swapped out the red grapes for green, for instance.
#4. You get free delivery if you’re a Prime member so long as you meet a minimum purchase (somewhere between $35 to $50, depending on where you live).
