It’s surprisingly easy to turn on your favorite podcast!
Alexa is great with podcasts! I listen to all my favorites on my Echo Show while I cook dinner every evening.
To turn on any podcast, just ask for it by name:
- Say, “Alexa, play Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me” and she’ll play the most recent episode of the NPR quiz show
- If you want something more specific, like an episode with a certain guest, say, “Alexa, play Wait Wait with Sam Sifton” and she’ll cue it up
Alexa not playing what you’re looking for? Try including the name of the host!
For example, when I said, Play Armchair Expert,” she took me to a one-off from July 2019, not the popular podcast hosted by Dax Shepherd. So I said, “Play Armchair Expert with Dax Shepherd” and got to the one I wanted. If you reword it, she’ll usually get there after a try or two 🙂
