Just say “Alexa, play something on Netflix”

If you’re anything like me, you’ve spent many minutes—ok, maybe hours—scanning through Netflix looking for something to watch. 

Wouldn’t it be great if you could do it by voice, based on things you’ve liked?

That’s exactly the aim of Amazon and Netflix’s new “Play Something” feature. 

It requires three things: a Netflix subscription, a Fire TV device with Netflix activated and your trusty Alexa speaker.

Instead of scrolling through with the TV remote, say, “Alexa, play something on Netflix.” Netflix will pull a suggested show or movie on your TV, with something she recommends based on your viewing history. Easy, right?
