Your Google Assistant can make it happen

Smart home devices make it so much easier to be eco-conscious. You can always set routines to manage your lights and turn on (and off) smart plugs when you need to.

And you can even ask your Google Assistant to shut off (or turn on) your lights in the future!

This is so great for when you’re heading out late in the afternoon and want to make sure that the lights are on when you get home—or if you’re getting ready for bed and don’t want to forget to turn off that light. 

Just say, “Hey Google, turn on the lights in an hour,” or “Hey Google, turn off the lights in 15 minutes,” and Assistant will make that happen.

Pro Tip: Unfortunately, this won’t work with smart plugs yet—so you’ll have to set up a routine to turn those on and off.
