Set your Nest display to Do Not Disturb
I’m spending so much of my day in front of a screen, so I need to make sure I create some times where the temptation of watching a TV show or checking email just isn’t there.
Fortunately, you can easily set up your Nest display to give you that downtime. The Digital Wellbeing settings let you schedule time where you can’t turn on a show or music (even if you ask!) — and you can’t even ask Google questions!
To set this up:
- Open the Google Home app
- Tap “Settings”
- Tap “Digital Wellbeing” and then “Set up”
- First you’ll have to set up your filters for explicit content and things like that
- Then, tap “Set up” on the “Schedule Downtime” page
- Follow the prompts to choose your devices, days, and times
Pro Tip: Don’t worry—your alarms and timers will still work during Downtime, so you can set this and still have your Google Assistant wake you up in the morning.
