I like to do my part in keeping the planet healthy, but it’s one of those classic conundrums: when it comes to products, I don’t know what I don’t know!

That’s why Amazon started their Climate Pledge Friendly program, partnering with companies whose products have been certified as climate-friendly for a variety of reasons, including their:

• High efficiency and maximum carbon reduction (Energy Star certified)
• Ethical and environmental standards (Fairtrade International certified)
• Responsible manufacturing using safer chemicals and reduced energy (Bluesign certified)

Just say, “Alexa, give me Climate Pledge Friendly” to get recommendations for climate-friendly products. 

Alexa will respond with some ideas for you, from organic cotton dry wipes to fair-trade chocolate, and give you a bit of background on why the product has been certified as Climate Pledge Friendly.

Pro Tip #1: You can get more information by saying, “Alexa, tell me more” or get other product ideas by saying “Alexa, next.” 

Pro Tip #2: Alexa’s suggestions come in no particular order. If you want to scan by category, go to the Amazon website and select “Shop” under the Climate Pledge Friendly category.  Here, products are broken down into categories including Beauty, Household, Computers & Office, and more.
