Just set up Hunches in the Alexa app
We’ve been waiting to see Hunches work since they were announced last year.
With Hunches, Alexa learns your typical behaviors, and if you forget to do something (like turn off a light at night), she’ll remember for you.
There are currently 2 different Hunches you can turn on: Alexa can have a Hunch that you’re asleep, or Alexa can have a Hunch that you’re away from home (or both!).
If you want, she can act on these Hunches by turning lights off, setting thermostats and more.
To set up Hunches:
- Open the Alexa app
- Tap “More”
- Tap “Settings”
- Tap “Hunches”
- Follow the prompts to allow Alexa to take action and shut off lights or adjust your thermostat if she thinks you’re asleep or you’re away
Pro Tip
Want to know if she ever follows through on a Hunch? You can view Hunch activity on the Hunches page under Settings.
