Why when I tell Alexa for example “turn the front lights on” it tells me that isn’t supported – however she turns the lights on.

Unfortunately, without a bit more detail, it’s hard to make any suggestions regarding this.
One idea would be to contact the vendor who makes the light, and ask them about it. They may be able to provide some insight to assist you.
Hopefully they can get your issue resolved!
