Just a few taps to enable it!
I just discovered that you can use Alexa commands to navigate the Amazon app, from finding products you want to finding out where your stuff is.
You can just open the Amazon app, say “Alexa, open wrapping paper” (which I just did, because it’s all on sale!) to see the top results.
It’s much faster and easier than typing in what you want. And it’s really handy because the Amazon app has such a great interface for buying stuff (duh!) and you’re not always in the room with your Echo Show.
(Note: We’re talking about the normal Amazon app you use to buy stuff—not a special new app you need to download.)
It’s super easy to set up:
- Open the Amazon app
- Tap the hamburger icon (set of horizontal lines) on the bottom right in the Amazon app
- Tap “Settings” > “Alexa”
- Slide to enable “Wake Word” to allow you to say “Alexa” and use voice commands in the app
