Say “Alexa, block explicit” to stop her from playing songs with swear words

Not every song in a great playlist is great for everyone. (No one wants to drop F-bombs around their kids or grandparents!)

Thankfully, you can ask Alexa not to play songs with explicit lyrics!

Just say, “Alexa, block explicit.”

You can also make the change in the app:

• Open the Alexa app
• Tap “More” > “Settings”
• Tap “Music & Podcasts”
• Tap “Explicit Filter” and toggle it on

Pro Tip

You can easily toggle the Explicit Filter back off when you’re ready to be a little racy again.
