I love listening to my favorite playlists, but sometimes I want to change it up. Saying “Alexa, play more like this” has become my favorite way of discovering new music.

If you’re really into a song that’s playing and want more like it, just say, “Alexa, play more like this.” This is an awesome way to find music you’ve never heard before (or just forgot about) that you might love.

What kind of songs will Alexa pick for you? 

She might play songs by the same artist (she shifted from U2’s “Elevation” to “With or Without You”) — or of the same era or style (she went from Prince’s “Raspberry Beret” to another 1980s-era song, “Africa” by Toto).

#1. You need to be listening on Amazon Music 

In order for “Alexa, play more like this” to work, you need to be on Amazon Music. Just say “Alexa, play (insert name of the song) on Amazon Music” to play a song on Amazon Music.

#2. Remember, Amazon Music is free with a Prime membership

If you have Amazon Prime, that means you already have free access to 2 million songs on Amazon Music automatically linked to your Alexa account. Yay!

#3. Don’t want to say “on Amazon Music” at the end of every music command?
