3 Reasons to Let Alexa Handle Your Phone Calls:
#1. Using Alexa to call others is so effortless you might never want to dial by phone again
Ring people in an instant without lifting a finger by saying “Alexa, dial (contact’s name).” No buttons, no tapping — you’ll never have to get up again to make a phone call!
Pro Tip: Your Echo’s light ring will turn green while it’s making a call.
#2. Set-up is as easy as pie (really good pie) — and it’s free!
To get this feature going, all you need to do is activate Alexa Communication in a few easy steps. Open your Alexa app > tap the “Communicate” bubble icon on the bottom navigation bar > follow the prompts to sign up. Doing this will prompt you to link Alexa to your phone’s contact list for quick dialing.
#3. Check out Alexa Drop In to step up your hands-free calling experience
The Alexa drop in feature is like a two-way intercom that lets you communicate with another Echo speaker and listen to what’s going on around it — without anyone having to answer the call.
You can easily “drop in” from your Echo device by saying “Alexa, drop in on (contact name such as mom)” or from the Alexa app. There are so many great reasons to give drop in a try — like when someone isn’t answering their phone or to surprise mom with an unexpected hello. Tap/click here to learn more about drop in.
Pro Tip: Don’t worry, only those with assigned drop-in privileges can drop in on your Echo speakers and vice versa (only my husband and I can drop in on ours).
