Use Echo Show to Display Photos

There are so many reasons I love my Echo Show, but one of the most surprising is that it doubles as a digital photo frame.

Easily make your favorite photo the home screen of your Echo Show (fastest option)

1. Open the Alexa app
2. Tap “Devices” in the bottom navigation bar
3. Tap “Echo & Alexa” and select your Echo Show device
4. Scroll down to tap “Home Screen Background”
5. Select photo from your smartphone
6. Tap the “Upload” button. 

(Note that it may take a few minutes before the photo appears.)

Alexa can also display a slideshow of your favorite Facebook album on the home screen

First, give Alexa access to Facebook: 

1. Open the Alexa app
2. Tap the hamburger icon in the upper left corner
3. Tap “Settings”
4. Scroll down to tap “Photos”
5. Tap “Link account” next to Facebook
6. Follow simple prompts.

To start up a photo slideshow on your Echo Show: 

1. Swipe down from the top of your Echo Show screen
2. Tap “Settings”
3. Tap “Home Screen”
4. Tap “Background”
5. Tap “Facebook” (wait a minute for it to load your albums)
6. Select the album(s) you want to display in the slideshow!

Pro Tip: If you have the all-new Echo Show 5, follow the steps in this post to display a slideshow of Facebook album photos (it’s a little different from the Echo Show steps).

If you use Amazon Photos, that works too

Just follow the same steps under “To start up a photo slideshow” above (except select “Amazon Photos” instead of “Facebook”)!
